Ice Cream Dream
There are a lot of fancy
ice cream flavors in the freezer case,
but this concoction is fresh and fabulous! A frozen dessert,
it’s easy to scoop anytime and the layers can be adapted to
suit personal tastes!
Prepare these ingredients:
Coconut: toast 3/4 cup shredded coconut in single layer on
baking sheet for 5-10 minutes at 350° until golden, stirring
occasionally to prevent burning.
Nuts: chop a 7 ounce jar of dry roasted macadamia nuts.
Cookies: break 2 cups (about 5-6 ounces) shortbread cookies
into pieces.
Hot Fudge Heaven: heat 1 cup (a little less than a 10 ounce jar)
about 15 seconds in the microwave until pourable.
In baking dish, layer ingredients in parts with 1 half gallon of
softened coffee (or your favorite flavor) ice cream. Use these
steps and press each addition into the other layers: 2 pints of
ice cream (half the amount); half of the coconut, macadamias,
and shortbread; all of the Hot Fudge Heaven; then the
remaining ice cream, coconut, nuts, and cookies.
Cover and freeze for about 3 hours until firm.
